If squeamish look away now!

Hi everybody, Hopefully you made the most of this last weekend (21 to 23 of May 2010) as
it was absolutely glorious!

We had a variety weekend of work but the highlight was the special FX Make-up
Workshop at Wade Deacon High School on Saturday 22 of May 2010.
The workshop was oriented to the 'Gifted & Talented' which embraces pupils that have excelled themselves during the year.

What can I say, other than that they were brilliant and they displayed great listening, learning, communicational and organisational skills and on top of that they created some excellent work in quite difficult conditions when it comes to make-up effects because the weather that morning was very hot!

Any way please check out the pictures on Flickr to see for yourselves some great work!

A very Special Circus

A circus workshops the full way in Germany, a very interesting video of how circus is integrated into the educational curriculum and how taking part in the circus project contributes to the children's development.

The circus on the video is a German travelling circus called 'Zirkus El Dorado'
.

Please look at the video on 'Teachers TV':

Hello everybody,

We just started the year (after a lovely holiday) with two new schools to welcome to our Magical Circus:

Willaston C. E. Primary in Willaston were we had a Circus Show for the whole school (204 pupils KS1 to KS2 Year 1 to Year 6) and then a circus workshop in the afternoon for Year 2 pupils, who achieved a great deal in the six skills that they learnt. It was a great day!

Neston Primary School were they went all the way for their circus day. We must say that we felt under-dressed for the occasion. We had two circus workshops for KS1 Year 2 pupils and there was some great talent there!

Also we had our yearly January "Gig" at Belgrave Primary School in Chester were we had two School Discos; one as Kuki and Krums the clowns for Year 1 and 2 and then another as Melanie and Angelo for Years 3 and 4. The X Factor is definitely influencing this new generation! It was difficult to pick a winner in the dancing competitions as they were all so good!!!
